United.... A club in dire straits

Started by: ahcawntspeyk (6142)

I must admit i feel a tad sorry for united fans at the moment, the owners care about nothing apart from making money, the squad is bang average the manager is bang average, the training facilities are bang average and the stadium is suffering from severe neglect and falling into disrepair.

As much as I'm not a fan of Utd I have to agree that one day they'll rise again. To do this though in a relatively short time they'll have to have a massive input of money and for me that is the Arabs. look what's happened at City and Newcastle and those two were not brilliant until the money was pumped in....just a thought

I recall similar sentiments expressed when S A F had been the manager for 2/3 years back in the day .
Bang average manager .
Bang average squad .
Etc Etc Etc .
And then look what came along .Trophy after trophy after trophy
Ten Hag has won a trophy and secured a top four spot in his first season .
I reiterate ,Sacking him now would be a backward .
step.
I agree re the owners and the ground and a little re Carrington .
Its the biggest certainty since Shergars derby that we will be back .
Bet on it and keep the faith Utd fans .

Tiger Cat

It was not just the decision which was wrong, but what took place with the two match officials and their handling of the infamous VAR as Alan Shearer quiet righly said on MOTD

Had it been Teg, he too would have reacted in the same way as Klopp!

And it is a sad state of affairs when a great club like United are playing their Reserve, Youth and Women's home games at other Stadiums like the Leigh Sports Village.

Not to mention the 8-1 drubbing of their Under 21 team at the hands of less than full strenght Bolton Wanderers team in the Papa John Trophy.

Whups, tbh I'm not sure if the club is still for sale but if so ,you can guarantee the Glazer's will sell to them if the price was good for them.... Money always talks..and they're greedy.

frecky they took it off the market a month ago & they want 10 billion for it knowing full well no-one will come up with that sort of money & guarantee the club stayed in their hands so they can carry on bleeding it dry . the only way the glazers will sell if united goes down .

Whups, as I said I didn't know if it was still up for sale but what you've said makes sense, as I said bloody greedy

Whups.
According to news from a unproven source the arabs havnt walked .
Could be fake news of course but nothing but could have a ring of truth about it .

no they hav,nt grim but the shiek has already told the glazers that 5.5 billion offer is his final offer . he sussed out the glazers from day 1 & knew they were using him & ratcliffe in a bidding war & his offer was final . wot ratcliffe is thinking about is beyond me because getting a 20% stake in the club will get him nothing & being out voted in every decision by the glazer family .

I agree whups .
Ratcliffe would be a pawn of the Glazers .
No true utd fan would support that idea.
What do you think of the talksport story regarding the utd players are not having erik given his treatment of C R and Sancho .?

Whoever takes over utd ( that's if it ever happens ) the fans won't like it i.e. between the arabs and Mr giveaway 20% Ratcliffe. Unfortunately it looks like utd are between a rock and a hard place.

I'm fine lads I've just been spending my time reading all about United's worst start since the Napoleonic wars, and how the club is in turmoil and that they are going to close Old Trafford and build a bingo hall on the site.
Then I realised the entire defence being out injured could be a factor so I had a peep at the League table (something I don't normally bother with until at least Christmas) expecting them to be propping up the Division. Imagine my surprise when I discovered we are just 5 points behind Liverpool after all that
